Who are Swifty Print?
We’re Ray and Julie – the husband and wife team behind Swifty Print. Before Canada became home, we spent over 17 years running a successful industrial cleaning supplies, safety wear, print, and embroidery company in the UK. Eventually, after one too many soggy mornings and grey skies, we decided we didn’t want to spend the rest of our lives drying out, so we sold the business, packed our bags, and headed for the four seasons of Southern Ontario.
Of course, it didn’t take long to discover that not all four seasons show up equally here… and that winter is very committed to its role. Despite this, we fell in love with life in Canada, and we wouldn’t dream of living anywhere else now. This is home.
In 2010, we arrived in Canada seeking a fresh new direction. After purchasing a home, settling in, and mastering the art of driving on the “other” side of the road without startling the locals, we launched our own cleaning business. We built an incredible team, gained fantastic customers, and everything was running beautifully — yet something still felt missing.
They say you don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone, and wow, did that hit home. After months of soul‑searching (and more beer than we’d like to admit), we realised how much we missed the print industry. Luckily, print missed us too, so after a few months of planning, we hung up our mops and brought Swifty Print to life in January 2014.
Since then, we haven’t looked back. Our passion for print is fully reignited, our creativity is thriving, and we get to do what we love every single day — helping people bring their ideas to life, one beautifully printed piece at a time.
